Therapeutic Area: Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML)

Principal Investigator: Dr. Zihai Li

Description: Dr. Li is the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Clinical Scholar. He pioneered the study of heat shock protein 70 vaccine against CML. His laboratory is now studying the mechanisms of heat shock protein 70 in activating the immune system. His clinical interest in CML is to optimize the vaccine strategy to minimize or overcome the resistance of this disease to standard therapy including Gleevec.
